This can be a very time consuming and expensive repair for the customer. This repair is almost always unexpected and never desired. When installed properly, ARP head studs reduce the chance of a head gasket failing. Factory head bolts are torqued to 77ft/lbs and then rotated an additional 1/4 turn.
